Download this and you will prepare your Vista system for my 3D games. Many programmers along with myself still create 3D applications in DirectX's "Retained Mode". However, Vista took out that function. Well, simply put it back!! Download the d3drm.dll file and place it in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory of Vista. If it still doesn't work, them move it into the SYSTEM32 directory. DirectX7 3D Retained Mode DLLDownload the fonts that make the games from this site look the way it should. For awhile, I thought fonts like "Coronet" and "Rockwell" were standards to have. Of coarse, I know the world doesn't have the "For The Love of My Sister" font since I made that myself. So download these fonts not just for the games, but for your own personal use! Coronet Font For The Love of My Sister Font Rockwell FontI have become familiar with the fact that not everyone have a folder named WINDOWS. Depending on the version of your Windows operating system, the main folder might have a slightly different name ("WINDOWSNT" for example). So make sure to manually direct the files to save in the folder you need them to be in. Another example is with some Windows operating systems setting up its system files in a folder named SYSTEM32 instead of SYSTEM. As far as my testings concern, please download these run-time files in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory. If you download the files in the wrong folder, move them in the right folder until the games work! Any questions, of coarse, e-mail me. dbgrid.ocx - Database Grid dao3032.dll - Database Engine msvbvm60.dll - Visual Basic 6.0 Run-Time File olepro32.dll - Object Linking and Embedding 32-bit File vb40032.dll - Visual Basic 4.0 Run-Time File winmm.dll - Windows Media (Old - Use if having problems with music)
If you want to play a game that requires DirectX and you think you may not have it installed in your computer... or your KNOW it isn't installed, you may download it down below. Now keep in mind, there are more newer versions of DirectX you can download from Microsoft's website. I like to use the old DirectX version 7.0 because it can work on even older computers. The file size to this DirectX 7.0 is almost 7 megabytes. If you are using a dial-up connection for your internet, your wait time is probably close to an hour or so. DirectX 7.0 |
